Not wanting to hijack the other thread about RCBS's excellent customer service I need to ask a question.

I too have had good service from them in the past, but as I'm in the market for some X dies for my .06 I noticed this note on their site this morning.

http://www.rcbs.com/general/intro.aspx

Knowing the history of their service, this has me a little confused. I'm well aware of the restrictions on reloading components but tools? Thoughts?

I noticed that myself recently... annoying.

Fortunately, I tend to buy Lee Dies from Higginson Powders, and even DillonPrecision sells some RCBS stuff (for example, Dillon is selling RCBS check weights for less than RCBS web price!)

If you find out more, please do post.

So....whats going on....heard from a guy the other day who was in WSS the other day in Cgy, asked why they had no reloading stuff on the shelves...was told Obama is restricting exports and everyone is starting to horde...here we go!!!

Restrictions have been in place for years... nothing to do with Obama (You can thank Dubya, actually) SHortages of bullets and powders are due to US consumer hoarding plain and simple.

Not sure what WSS is up to. They never have anything I need and some of their prices are weird. (See their RCBS chargemaster)
