Hi i have a RCBS uniflow and was wondering about reloading 9mm, is the uniflow capable of throwing 4-6 grain charges or would i need a new rotor for it?

also for a 9mm load with a 124 grain bullet which would you recommend Unique, HS-6, or bluedot?

With The large rotor you can throw 3-4 g charges the problem is a fraction of a turn gives you a big change if you want .1g it moves .2 then you have to back up and do it over and the +- could be +-0.1 to 0.15g
ALWAYNS turn nob with not at the top ( after dropping a charge)
spend the time checking in the begining and then spot checking will save you time if you have to pull rounds apart.

if you are using it for target loads and not pushing warp speed where that 0.1 or 0.2 g will cause you problems you should have no problems
just check often 1in 10 -- i have loaded ( in one night) checking the first bit every 1in 10 (powder settles) then 1 in 50 then topping up hopper when 1/3 full then 1 in 25 then 1 in 50

I use a Uniflow with a large rotor for my 9mm, 38spl and .357mag without any problem. 9mm charge is 4.7gr. and it trow very consistently.

Simple solution is to use a RCBS micrometric adjustment screw for uniflow. It make charge change very easy and fast if you charge more than one caliber with the same powder measure.

You should be good but as everyone says, verify with a scale. Take Dmay's offer up and you'll be 'whole' again!

I use a hornady and still weigh each round I use 3031 which is hard to meter.I would guess it is right on about 3 of 5.The slight difference, for hunting would likely not make a difference but I still like to make them as accurate as possible.M3C

For target loads the Unique or HS-6 would be better that Blue Dot. Blue dot is better for high performance loads in the 9mm but is a little finicky sometimes and loads have to be worked up carefully.
