I just recently broke my decaping pin and bent the stem in one of my dies so I called their customer service to get another one. They told me that it happens all the time and they would send me another one free of charge and shipping no questions asked. That's what I consider standing behind your product.

They replaced a Partner press frame and a very old die I had (NOS) that had an internal sharp edge shaving the brass, all for free, no question asked.

Wow , it never occurred to me to try warranty for the decapping pin and stem ! ! Good show . I did call them on impulse on the handle to press pin ,my press is so old I was considering a new press but I called them and no questions asked except did anything else show any wear , and the part showed up in record time

I have had RCBS replace items like that without a question. So has Redding, Lyman, and CH.

The only company I've had balk at warranty claims, or want money for replacing broken bits, is LEE.

I too needed to order a new decapping pin and was unsure of which size i needed. I called to find out exactly which part # I needed so I could order it online from a dealer and next thing I know I've got a package of 5 sent to me for free.

I've had excellent dealings with rcbs and reddings warranty department in the past.

I just recently bought a rifle that came with a set of rcbs dies. The vent hole is scraping the case pretty bad (easily seen and felt on the brass). I emailed them, and told them the dies were used and I wasnt the original owner - I was asking for any tips on dealing with the issue. They made a suggestion and also said if I sent it in, they would fix it - but that shipping it both ways would probably cost more than a new die.

My first Chargemaster crapped out after the warranty had expired. What they did is request that I smash it into little pieces with a hammer and send email pictures in to save the shipping costs, with CC info for the shipping from the states. Or maybe it was a service charge of 60 bucks and they covered the shipping? Amounts to the same cost either way.

Never being one for following instructions exactly,I shot it with a .458 Win Mag and sent the video in instead. Still using the replacement.

I've dealt with RCBS Customer Service a couple of times - they do honour the endless warranty on reloading dies, etc., no issues with that at all. I had the same problem as OP.

Both times I was told "no worries we'll send you free replacements" - which they did. But the replacements took close to two months to arrive, and in fact I had to phone/email in each case to follow up - whereupon I got the parts 3 or 4 days later. If I had been able to purchase the parts from the local, consistently out of stock, retailers I would have done so. It was a PITA holding off the reloading that I wanted to do until the bits and pieces arrived.

Just as a side note - I still like RCBS very much, but their shipping folks aren't in a real rush.

O.N.G.

I also broke my decapping pin so I called to order a few more - figured I would buy 3, one to replace and two extra. The guy was super friendly, took all my info but then wouldn't take my credit card info - said it was going to be free.

I cleaned and lubed my RCBS JR3 press a few days ago, which I bought in 1973.
There was no slack or wear anywhere, which was nice.
The only problem that it had was the top of the ram where the shell holder fits in.
Many years ago, I had stupidly used the press for some forgotten makeshift project without a shell holder in place, and had dented the top of the ram.
It was my fault and not the press.
It still worked fine but it has always annoyed me, and all the more so with it now cleaned up and lubed.
Anyway, I contacted RCBS by e-mail and they are sending me a new ram and shell holder retainer clip at no charge.
Not bad service by a company for a 44 year old press.
And it will be ready to go for another 40 years.
I'll be dead long before then, but the new owner will be happy with it.

I called them one regarding some parts I lost while moving for my Uniflo power thrower, and they sent me free parts to replace the ones that I lost.

Bought a ultrasonic cleaner -- one of the large ones -- and it started to leak less than a year later after light use. Their response was to tell me to ship it to California for repair. Yeah...no. That would cost half as much as it cost to buy.

I don't blame their response but its disappointing to be stuck with a leaky cleaner that would cost too much to send for repair.

I have heard about other folks in a similar situation that were instructed to supply photos of the item totally destroyed and RCBS sent out a new one...Chargemaster combo comes to mind but can't recall for sure.
Can't hurt to call them and ask if it's a possible.

I've dealt with RCBS Customer Service a couple of times bought a new JR press for me the main cylinder was not straight and would bind all the time cleaned and oiled same thing sent it back they replaced it same thing with new one, for me the must get there presses made in China all junk
no more anything from RCBS
from another forum USA

The castings are made in China, machining done in US. I used to love RCBS, but try to buy only made in USA reloading equipment. Hornady, Redding, not sure about Lyman, last I knew still made in USA.

Everything I have ever bought that was RCBS, new, used, or abused has been cheerfully replaced free of charge with no shipping charges if there was ever a problem.
