Last week I emailed RCBS about a lock ring I was having issues with (on an old set of dies I acquired with a rifle). They simply replied asking for my address and shipped me a replacement at no cost !

That's what I call service.

I busted the locking cap off of my RCBS bullet-puller a few months ago. I email them and asked for a replacement which they were happy to provide but they insisted on getting an AFT export permit for this little piece of plastic because they said it was a "firearm part" which of course it isn't and as a result I didn't get it for about 2 months. Strange?

anything related to a gun has to go through that crap.I called them the other day about getting a new sticker for my 5-10 scale and it has to go through the same

Sounds like an RCBS policy.

Of course I order all kinds of stuff from the US and never needs export permits. Just about anything from Numrich under 100$ bucks I can get to my doorstep inside a week.

Some parts need permits some parts dont.

its ridiculous that a sticker or locking cap would require a permit if I can get a press with no paper work.

Yep, RCBS rocks. I lost a few parts of my Uniflow powder measure during a move a few years ago. RCBS promptly replaced the parts for free, no questions asked. Their customer service is always something to consider when a new reloader is wondering what kind of equipment to buy.

Needed a new set screw for a lock ring on a die. They sent 4 set screws as well as a new lock ring!! Couldn't agree more Second To None!!

I picked up a Little Dandy Powder measure off e-bay.
When it arrived, the powder hopper was cracked.
I called and asked how could I get it replaced (I told them I was not the original purchaser)... "What's your address sir, we'll ship one out to you."
You don't get that kind of service anywhere else!!

All companies can learn from RCBS. I had a bent expander assembly on a die.

1) email
2) fast response
3) new one sent and NO SHIPPING TO PAY :D

I am more than happy to spend a bit more than the cheaper end stuff for that kind of service.

I, too, can testify to the excellent customer service at RCBS. I bought a FL sizing die at a garage sale. When I went to use it, I found that it marked my brass a bit [not seriously, just enough to annoy me] I contacted RCBS, explaining what I was experiencing, where I got the die, etc, etc., and asked them if they would polish it up for me if I sent it down. They responded they would take care of it if I sent the die and a couple of cases fired in my rifle. Imagine my delight to receive a brand new die, exact fit for my rifle, in a very short time. That's Service that keeps one coming back!! Regards, Eagleye.

Back when I started reloading I got a .308 case stuck in the FL die. I pounded it out with a hammer and called RCBS for a replacement decapping rod and pin. I told them that I used a hammer to remove it and I was willing to pay for new parts, they still replaced it free of charge.
RCBS is the best in the business.
