RCMP commemorative

Was talking to my parents friend who use to be a RCMP member and he said that he has a commemorative rifle chambered in 30-06. A quick search online didn't bring anything up. Does such a rifle exist? Or was he mistaken?

Yup. It does exist. Google "RCMP Centenial Rifle". It is a Winchester Model 94. Not a 30-06, but a 30-30.

I know about the centenial chambered in 30-30 but he said 30-06 just trying to figure out if there was some odd ball rifle produced

Gotcha. I think his calibre recollection is off.

That was my thought as well. He use to hunt but by no means is a gun nut. Thanks
