Very good comment. All around us there are breakins, theft, and vandalism - most are crack head types from the city helping themselves to the rural walmarts (farms & ranches).
We are told not to "react" and to call the local RCMP. Their response to theft and vandalism? If your lucky, the police will eventually come for an investigation, usually if they know you have an RPAL.
But if the bastards are shot at or caught and "interrogated" by the locals - property owner is a redneck, racist, right wing, etc etc.

If someone is forced to now register their 80% ar15 receiver as prohib,

wouldn't the CFO be forced to issue you a 12(x) on your PAL?

are the completed ar15s that have been registered as restricted now become prohib?

if the poly80 frame only is now prohib, wouldnt the already registered ones also become prohib? i wonder what the FRT says now

I doubt you can register it as prohibited and gain the license. It's more likely you are just in possession of a prohibited firearm.
 
By this thought process all revolvers are now prohibited, because you could cut the barrel shorter that 4". Wait, ALL firearms are now prohib, because you could cut a barrel below legal requirements. RCMP are now becoming Timecops. All gun owners are being convicted of crimes which they MIGHT commit in the future.

Way ahead of you...I am already bypassed the first step and onto the second...a few weeks from now I will think this is the norm without second guessing myself.

All firearms are prohibited (some are double and triple prohibited).

The only thing stopping you from going to jail is the card in your wallet the govt made you pay for to get temporary permission.

-This is BS. My friend used his 80% lowers unfinished with stock and grip mated to uppers so he could display his AR's legally on the wall as they are not guns.
 
So, if I buy one, or did buy, say a 1911 style 80%, from any supplier, can the ghestapo mp come to their business and demand their records on who bought these blocks of metal?

there is no definition as to what stage it is deemed for the purpose other than a firearm, if the end goal was a display and had parts added to resemble the real thing my guess is its a replica and be classed as such, on the other hand if its a paper weight where do you stop? any block of material could have the end goal to be a firearm its just not machined so simply saying this could be a firearm makes it prohibited
