RCMP S&W Model ???

I have shot with a couple of RCMP members, and have several thousand rounds down range out of the S&W. I like it. The trigger is very reminicent of the feel of a revolver trigger. I didn't have any trouble with it.

I have also fired several thousand rounds out of a Sig P220 and a P226. I like them as well. I really like my 1911's. I have solved it by buying several Sigs, two 1911's, and a Glock :) If I could find a 5949 with a restricted length barrel, I would buy one of those as well.

They're a good for everyone pistol. They're accurate enough and the extra weight helps steady the pistol in your hands.

Mine's never broken or had anything go out of whack. I sent it in last year for a 5 year maintenance and got all new springs. Feels like new. It fits my hand, points well and I'm plenty accurate with it. DAO gives you a consistent trigger pull every time with the added safety of a double action trigger pull in high stress situations. Sure, a Sig is a nice pistol, but having a traditional double action just gives shooters a piece of equipment that is more difficult for the vast majority that are not recreational shooters more to try to learn. Only Cooperites think that Law Enforcement should carry a 1911 on duty.

Where? (I'd like to send to S&W, but I don't think that I can.)

The DAO implies that cops are tards.

And that comment implies that you are a tard.

I agree with BUM's take on the gun. It is a good issue sidearm for the RCMP that suits the broad spectrum of members. If you can get used to the long trigger pull and long reset, they are a very accurate gun. Being a bit of a pistol aficionado they are just not my cup of tea, but as an issue tool of the trade they are rugged, reliable and safe to use. Remember too that most LEOs are not gun folk so a pistol like this makes sense.
