RCMP S&W Model ???

FN chill. Everyone knows DAO was asked for by police departments because the chiefs thought average cops didn't have the training for DA/SA. THEY, in a sense, thought THEIR cops didn't have it in them.

Haven't seen any for sale on Questar yet, but I'll keep an eye out. Really want one of these.
They used to have some 5906 on the Questar site but they are gone now. These guns had Bar-Sto barrels because the standard barrel for these guns are 4 inch.

Best way to get one is probably to locate one in the U.S. and then import it through Questar. You are going to run into the barrel length issue though. You'll have to buy a replacement barrel and have the old barrel swapped out down there.

The other problem is that I don't believe these pistols are made anymore. If you go to the Smith & Wesson website (or order a catalog) you will not see any such pistol as a 5946 or 5906. Go to "Pistols" the "Metal Frame", and the closest thing seems to be the "910" pistols. These are 4 inch barrel guns though, so again you can't import a brand new one without swapping out the barrel.

What the difference between the 59XX guns and the 910 guns is, I really don't know. Maybe a Smith aficionado can explain that for us.

Why Smith seems to add and drop items from their catalog, and rename stuff, every year, I find that very counter productive myself.
