How would I properly re-attach the front sight on my Norinco NZ75? It has popped off. The sight has 2 "posts" that fit in to holes on the slide. The front post is a little longer than the rear, and these fit into the holes which extend down in to the bushing at end of slide. Would "JB Weld" be good enough, or is there a special tool that fits into the base of each hole and expends the posts to fit real tight? I searched for complete disassembly instructions hoping to see how it is put back in, but nothing! Appreciate some direction or pointer to instructions!

Thank you.

Or have a gunsmith re-stake it for you.

Should have a roll pin that holds the front sight and barrel bushing in?

Mine was out of spec and ejecting the bushing / pin and Canada ammo fixed it on warranty.

Thanks for both answers. Mine does not have the roll pin, so I think earlier model (S/N ...97). The staking tool is probably how I need to go, so thanks for that! It came loose on the previous owner, so I am not sure if that person tried to replace it then epoxied it back on. I wasn't concerned as I got it for the classroom, and didn't intend to fire it. Then I got a Hungarian FEG in 9mm for the "decocking lever" demos, and shot the NZ75, and of course, the glued front site went flying! Will follow up on the "staking tool."

Thank you!

What site posts look like. Any know where I can get a sight staker for this configuration? (Supposed to be a picture link from Flickr??? When I edit post, I see the link with [/IMG] before & after the URL.)) Why can't I just upload a picture?
