Re-bluing for a rifle

Looking to touch up a mauser and just want to re-blue a small part of the barrel. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a product for the do it your self gun smith. Products I researched are

birchwood casey re-blue
oxpho-blue


Any other products someone can recommend that you can find in ontario. I live in Burlington and know Basspro sells birchwood casey but the reviews have not been good. I hear oxpho blue is a great product but i think you can not find it in canada.

I've used Brownell's 44-40 blue for small touch ups, it seems to work OK but is not as durable as a hot blue job. WSS sells it if and when they have it in stock.

I find Birchwood Casey Super Blue to be second to Oxflo Blue. Super Blue is much better than BC Blue. Oxflo Blue is only available in Canada in a paste and I don't like it, never works as good as the liquid.

I've used Brownells Oxpho-Blue creme formula a couple of times and I am very happy with the results. It's much better than Birchwood Casey Perma Blue.

I wish I could find the Oxpho here in Nanaimo. I check at WSS every few weeks or so but they don't seem to have had any for at least the last 6 months

I've been using Blue Wonder for a couple years and love the stuff. Hard to find on a good day, and I just found out they've suspended production until they can solve the issue of shelf-life stability. It seems to turn brown in the bottle after a year from opening, in my experience. I still used it with good results but not as great as when first opened. Now I'm using their GunBlack. Not the same results at all. If anyone knows a dealer selling BlueWonder GunBLUE kits, please P.M. me.
