Hey I have a 10/22 I bought used in a Revolution Tundra stock. It's channeled for the factory sporter barrel but I would like to change to a bull barrel and free float it. Does anyone know where to get this done? I love this stock and would hate to have to switch it out or buy a whole new one set up for heavy barrel. I'm in the Edmonton area.

Thanks

If I have to I will I'm just worried about getting the depth and angle right so if I could find someone experienced willing to do it for a decent price I will go that route. However if the cost is anywhere near what it is to buy the new stock I will just do that and sell this one.

Its not difficult, wrap some sandpaper around a dowel or piece of pipe the correct diameter, and just sand the channel until it just clears the barrel.

I've used a 1/2" drive deep socket and used different sized sockets to work my way up.
The last one I did with some actual gun barrel inleting tools and finished with sockets.

Whatever you use take your time and check fit repeatedly.

This makes the job easy and quite precise.

$30 from Brownells, and it will do as many stocks as you want.
