Can someone smarter than me, tell me, if I had a 98 mauser that was stamped with the eagle and "circle" and had it re-barrelled in .308 (don't worry I am not), is it worth more than another 98 in .308 without the markings. I know this question is subjective, but I am looking for insight.

I just noticed I am in the wrong section, sorry, idk how I did that.

Do you mean one has peened markings and the other markings are intact?

Honestly the only way to (even subjectively) assess relative value would be to post detailed photos of both firearms - preferably in the milsurp section.
