Hello everyone, I'm not a new member, but definitely not familiar with the site yet so I guess I'm just trying to farm engagement and join the community.
Does anyone have any tips for getting a military stock for a M1917? I've been looking at liberty tree collectors' reproduction stock and prestigious wood stocks' repros but I don't have any experience with this. Do you guys have any better recommendations or even any wood workers local to the Calgary area?
All the best and thank you guys in advance!

Liberty Tree does not sell to Canada. A friend got a Prestigious set for his SMLE and it needed quite a bit of work for proper fitment. Don't know if their 1917 wood is the same.

Yeah I have 2 LEC and 1 mle stocks from them. Lots of work needed. Thy are from 2 years ago so they may be better. They were roughed out off the center line. The prices seem good though.

A Pattern 1914 stock ( 303 British cousin ) should fit and might be more common in Canada to find.
Are you sure? I've heard that the magazine cutout is different besides other minor differences like the lack of a volley sight. I'm not too confident in my woodworking so I'll probably mangle that.
