Re-installing iron sights, 100m zero be same # of clicks?

Heading into the bush for deer Monday and the scope I had wanted to use broke, it's replacement is not here yet so it's back to irons on my M14.

Am I safe to assume the clicks above bottom to my 100m will still be true?
It's the sight pocket on the reciever that the rear sight aperature bottoms out on correct?

Yes, if you know and then wrote down your 100m zero 's number of clicks from absolute bottom then you should be good to go. And yes it's the sight pocket on the receiver that the rear sight bottoms/aperture out. You got that right....

Excellent, thanks for stopping in with the answers Hungry. I have all my clicks memorized from SR and doubt any shot will be more than 100m. I'll be sure to get a pic even if it's just me and the rifle in the bush, but my first deer would be a bonus!
