When I'm done shooting for accuracy (or when I want to take a break) I like to have some fun with my 10/22. What are some of your favorite reactive targets for rimfire?

- shotgun hulls
- reducing clay pigeons to tiny little orange pieces
- little blocks of wood hanging on a string from the target backboard

I have the full set of silouette spinner targets as well as a "prarie chuck" spinner that I bought off of wholesale years ago..... best money I ever spent.

put them out at 100yds or closer and blast away, he ram I will even go as far as 200 yds depending on the scope I have mounted and if it has BDC.

spinners are cheap and great fun. if you shoot with kids they love em. young kids find spinning the target more fun than paper, it makes for great offhand practice. i bought mine from russels, a set of three for about $30.

Paintballs are pretty fun. Not too expensive and they explode. lol

paintballs, good idea ad they don't leave a big mess as they are bio-degradable.... might have to go buy a tub of them, 1000 targets for like $20 at walmart :)

golf balls. Tee up at 15 yards, and chase 'em down range as far as you can before they fall into a dip where you can't see them :)

I been using a reseting flipper target (birchwood casey) 4 down ,1 up flipp the four up and shoot the top one to release the 4. Talk about keeping you honest the target pads are only about 2.5 - 3" (can't remember) if you don't hit them solid they don't make it over, the best $40 I have spent. I haul it hunting a far bit just in case I get bored and want to burn some time.

By this spring both my gopher shooting partner and I will have 10/22's and then I want to get a race target, you know those ones wher you flip all your targets to the other side before your competator.

At 50 yds put your paint balls on top of the Ts. The object is hit the paintball not the T. If you hit the t the paintball is not usually broken when it hits the ground. Zero score for that paint ball. We shoot them for timed events, very humbling, but a lot of fun. Put up 10 Ts and paintballs 6 inches apart. Delta1

For dingers for kids, go to a building demolition site and scoop some fire alarm bells. Hang them at various ranges depending on the size of the bell. They make a great sound when hit with a 22.

Shot shells, Clay's Pop cans, LOTS of FUN
BTW anyone ever bought 25rnd Butler creek clips for 10/22?
I Bought 3 of them now 1 works the other 2 have feeding problems.

I like shotgun shells. There are usually hundreds around the range. My buddy and I line up a bunch on the target frame at 100 yds and play sniper as the "spotter" calls out a specific shell (by colour and position) and the shooter has to hit it. Once you miss, the roles are reversed. Even as the spotter, its fun.

I cut scrap pieces of 2x4 and line them up on a stand I built and then shoot away, it is also fun to cut gopher shapes out of plywood if you are having winter varmint hunter withrawels. I am going to have to pick up a few spinning targets next time I go to wholesale, sounds like fun. I dont like cans or milk jugs because my bullets usually go right through them and I dont know if I hit them or not.

I like the idea of using golf T's. Usually I just masking tape them to a used target board. About 1 in 10 would fall off before I get to shoot it.

Nobodys mentioned ice cubes....they shatter/explode like glass and there is no mess to clean up. And as they melt the target gets smaller so the challenge increases.
