Reactive targets for rimfire

Let me second that advice. It can be really dangerous. I have seen pics and heard many stories of people being shot accidentaly by exploding ammo. Not the smartest of ideas.

I have shot the odd shotgun shell in the primer and the odd rifle cartridge. They burst and that about the end of it. Same as if they were in a fire.

I'll have to get my pics developed from earlier this week. Take a shaken creme soda can, shove it up the ass of any old stuffed animal, open the can from distance with a No.4 Enfield.

The pink creme soda leaves great half-life style pink spray all over the new fallen snow.

I used to chase golf balls down the range. Great practice with increasing difficulty. Even the local cops (when they were there) remarked that it looked like tough.

I once found a live 9mm on the range (clean-up, range 4  ). I wedged it in the target board at 25 yds and shot it. Took about 50 rounds to hit  . A loud pop and that was it. I was alone on the range, so only the stupid were at risk :p .

Lately, with the range clamping down on "suitable targets", I use the shatter-blast targets. They're 2" clay targets that sit in plastic stands. Got them at Walmart.

I have to admit to shooting rimfire ammo stuck in a board. Mind you I was 100 yards away using the hmr, you would be surprised how many times we hit.

Really?
I have never seen these at our Wal-mart.
I'll have to check into this.
How much do they cost, and how many do you get in a package?

it's made by daisy , a box of 60 cost around 9$ and a kit with 4 plastic holder and 8 shatterblast cost 7$. It's build for air gun but it work pretty well with 22 lr
