Reading Material on 1911

Hello,

I am looking for some reading material about 1911's. Specifically I would like to learn more about what would be involved in building one from a parts kit (things like timing and how the locking lugs work)

Anyways I am wondering if anybody here has anything they would recommend.

I found PDFs of them on the interwebs, but the legit ones are also available from Brownells at least. Likely other places as well. They contain everything you ever wanted to know.
