Hey guys, I was planning on getting my testing done with the above stated school. However I am having a hard time finding any reviews on them. The school is located in Oakville and I was wondering if anybody had any information about it. Are they legit?
 
I just booked my rpal at ready aim. called in on Monday the 10th of jan and have rpal booked for Wednesday the 12th of jan. Bruna took really good care of me! make sure to book quick though because I heard the rpal classes are booked up until may/june for weekend course
 
Just wanted to follow up on this since It was impossible to get a call back form two other clubs for training. I took a few days for the lady to get back to me to book. After calling a bunch of times I just decided to go to the location after a class. I walked in, Spoke with Tony and booked right there. I just completed my PALr courses there.

The instructor was Jason Frye current ETF instructor and the course was great.

Hell he even gave everyone his cell number if anyone ever had questions or issues down the road..

A++ for ready aim ( once you actually get booked)

Did my RPal there in November. Pretty quick to get in during the week. Tony was my instructor and kept a good pace a mixed lecture with hands on and video. Would recommend them anytime.
 
I've done 3 courses there. 3 different instructors. They have all been first class. It took a bit of phone tag for my wife to set up the appointments. My wife works shifts and think they rarely even answer the phone, but they always call back. I would recommend them to anyone.
 
Its in a plaza and it seems that most other businesses are closed on weekends. I had no problem. I always prefer to park my truck so that nobody is beside it. So I know the feeling
 
I assume that the OP has probably taken his PAL / RPAL course already so I'll just post this for others looking for reviews of Ready Aim in Oakville.

My girlfriend and I took the course in November of this year (22 & 23). Lucky for us, our instructor happened to be the owner (Anthony Cooper) of Ready Aim. I believe he was with the OPP for the majority of his career and had a lot of experience with firearms in general. He's also quite the hunter and could relate a lot of the material he was teaching to hunting.

We definitely found the class interesting although it was a pretty long day. (8:30AM till 5:30PM...add in the written and practical testing and you could be out by 8PM)

Our classes were kept fairly small (12 to 13) so there was a lot of time to get one on one instruction. He also had enough firearms that all of us got more than enough handling time.

We just received our test results in the mail a few days ago.

Overall, we'd highly recommend Ready Aim in Oakville (although it's pretty much on the border of Mississauga)

Don't worry about parking as there's more than enough spots.

Food wise..we pretty much ate at the Wendy's/Tim Hortons for both days since it was only about a 2 minute drive from Ready Aim.

I took my class there last weekend. The breaks were too short to go anywhere else than Tim/Wendy. Plan on getting out of there at 9pm when you take the PAL class if you at the end of the practical testing. I would like to have seen an express class. I think the classroom portion could easily be cut in half.

Im sure for a couple days you can do w/o long breaks. Not like its the end of the world.

I wasn't suggesting that I or anyone else couldn't deal with the short breaks, my intention was to inform others that you should expect to eat Tim/Wendy's or pack a lunch because you won't be going anywhere else on the 10 minute breaks. I personally am not a fan of either place and will be packing food for my next class.
 
Would you rather had a longer lunch and left at 10pm? As far as the express course I believe they are required to do X number of hours and cover X material....If you want less I then you can challenge test. I personally was glad they kept the breaks short. I drove 45 minutes to get there (my mother in-law lives 10 mins away and watched the kids...)
 
Tony and Bruna are great people to work with. I took my RPAL there last summer. Tony is a great instructor. I haven't heard about any recent range plans as of yet. I heard through Al Simmons that there were parking issues at the one place they were looking at.
