well guys im finally ready to hit the checkout button for my first AR build

but i want you guys to look at my list and point out if im missing anything?

I'm guessing the extra firing pin and extra charging handle are personal preference? I have a mod 4 bcm charging handle and I don't personally see the need to swap it out. The firing pin on the LMT BCG should be fine as well, it's what I'm running.

Otherwise looks fine. Post pics when it's done.
 
when i sourced the LMT BCG from Questar it didnt specify it came with the firing pin so i figured for the small price id order it JIC (if it for sure comes with the Firing pin then ill drop it off my list)

as for the Mod 4 its just personal prefference that im ordering one
 
Higher end parts. Why not spend a little extra for a nicer barrel.

Which Lo-pro Gas block?
Ambi-Mag release?

Scope and mount?

Ditch the hogue and get the Magpul MIAD
Why the Cadex?? And not NEA? Or the matching VLTOR Lower?
Is that the Enhanced Carrier and Bolt or a Standard Carrier and Enhanced Bolt. You won't need an Enhanced Carrier.

Don't forget additional rails and sling mounts for that VTAC.


Hey, Why not buy a JP Rifle? :)

Gas block is included with barrel, not concerned with ambi release as the regular releases work for me, scope and mount will be vortex but they arent a concern right now (magpul sights to start off), i like the look and feel of houges (have 3 on my pistols and an overmould on my sks), cadex because they are canadian and i like them, carrier is enhanced

As for the JP that was plan A :D but starting at $4700 with no optics makes me cry

Im not buying a wilson barrel ;) its a rock river barrel which was made buy wilson and sold as an RRA

And by all means suggest a better better barrel around the $460 range
 
The RRA rifles are very accurate, especially with the stainless bull barrel. They guarantee 3/4 moa with their Varmint model.

However for $550 ATRS will make you a custom match grade barrel.
