Hey all I am looking for a "real" .22 pistol. By that I would like to find somthing that is exactly or as close as possible to a center fire pistol but chambered in .22lr. From what I can see most of the .22's out there are very different from the centerfire ones. I would like to get somthing close to what one would expect as a duty pistol as a police officer. Would it be worth getting a 1911 and a 22lr kit? I have yet to hear anything good about them.

Ruger 22/45. Mimics the feel and controls of a 1911. Reasonably accurate, fun as hell to shoot and you can load a mag faster than you can empty one if you get one of those nifty mag loaders that went up for sale here a while back. Oh and it's cheap too: $309.00 at Wholesale Sports.
