Real Leopold?

I just bought a Leopold scope marked Leopold Mark 4 4-12x40 M4 8888SC
Is there such a Leopold? I hear so much about fakes and the price was quite low, which makes me wonder. Nice bright optics so I bought it anyway.

Here's the giveaway it's fake: 8888SC

It's part of my lottery (feng shui) number program... and I've won shzt! Haha ha ha

I've used a couple of my .223 and .22 LR rigs. Clear enough for Trashco style price point. Even killed a few groundhogs with them 10 years ago. The scope on the .22 LR was a great addition and not a single regret.

I sold it for $100 explaining that it WAS a Zhinese knock off and it's perfect for mild recoiling rigs.

Called - it's a fake. I expected it was as the price was $150, but I bought it anyway because it seemed to work so well. It would be interesting to know who made it. I expect it's Chinese. Thanks for the advice.

Bummer, but not unexpected @ that price.

What are you putting the scope on? If it's a 22 for plinking, might be fine.

If it's your main hunting rig, I wouldn't trust it to hold up.
