Real snowshoes anyone?

got my Atlas 1030's today, they look pretty sweet. I wont get a chance to try them until Saturday I will try and let you know how I like them
 
Bought a pair of Faber 57's ( 12 x 60's ) in 1975. Still using them, primarily
in the open, but have pressed them into duty in shield country when the snow
has been waist-deep +. No problems. Properly looked after, they last for years. As was shown me by a Northern Ontario Trapper, I've only ever used a lampwick toe loop and instep tie with an inner-tube loop under the toe. Rarely have to re-adjust, and they're easy enough to get off in a hurry if you have to.
