real world hunting experience with 454 casull

I bought a stainless Rossi in 454 casull this year and was planning on carting it through the heavy bush this year.
does anyone in the gun nutz world have any experience with lead bullets through this rifle and what it does to game and what my range should be kept to?

I'll get back to you around the middle of November if i'm lucky. I too have one of the Rossi's but havn't been lucky enough to use it on game yet.

I do believe there are other gents on this forum who have experience using the .454 on game. Maybe they'll chime in with some actual valuable content. FWIW, i'll be using 240gr Hornady XTPs on a deer if i'm lucky enough.

I bought a box of loaded ammo from bullet barn, 335 grain lead pills. Here's hoping they do the job.
