Its got a icky 20 thousands or so belt. Just a used up tavern wench compared to the Pemberton blacktail slayer, 375 Ruger.
So would that be a yes or a no?

Will a 7mm RM kill a moose at 400 yards using a 150gr bullet?
So would that be a yes or a no?
^ Now would that be a on-paper 7mm Mag shooting a 150gr bullet @ 3110 fps? or a real-world 7mm Mag shooting 150gr @ 2800 fps?
I'm assuming your a decent shot, as would.be Ardent and Hoyt. Most people should not be taking shots beyond 300, doing it with a borderline caliber for energy, adds up to borderline ethical.
Bell, body shot elephant with 7x57, finding them next day by vulture, at the height of the ivory trade. Will 6.5 or 7x57 take moose, sure. Should you if you have better choices, unless your a expert shot. That's between you, and your ethics.
A five minute clip keeps repeating on YouTube. Bruce Lee, fighting the scar faced O'hara in return of the dragon. Boards dont hit back......Moose dont have bullseyes, stand still, wait for you to set up your range bench.
My .264 is a 264 mag. Great Deer, Elk, short range Moose cartridge

Is that your best choice, are you hungry, are you capable of putting your shot into a pie plate at that range. All mute points, they arent the op's scenario.
Hes purposely buying a new rifle, probably spent north of $1k. A rifle designed for a high volume shooting game. Would a different caliber cost significantly more or less.
Does a 308 bullet kill differently shot from a 308, 3006, 300wm, 300wea, 300rum.....same projectile. Wheres the line to disregard your ethics? I dont make that call. Is it to feed your family, another mount in your man cave, or is this simply trolling minus dancing bananas.
Whats the difference between.....6.5 prs vs 264wm....or 260 and 6.5creedmore. My take, the newer ones are designed with long sleek, high bc, target bullets in mind. Corresponding tight twist barrels to stabilize them. The prs pushes to the edge of prs rules, like a horsepower limitation in Nascar.....isnt it 140gr and 3000ft/sec. My old school 264 is built on a 100 yr old action, but has a ron smith gain twist barrel, am i cool enough to play?
Ive tried to answer, based on my experience with the bore. Really, how many 6.5 prs are out there? Alternately, people can cherry pick one sentence to say gotcha from a overly long post(s) for what purpose? Certainly not the OP's. I'm out, so feel free to self congratulate, self flatulate, or dance with bananas. Just put some effort into the trolling, not just on line. I'm sure the OP will appreciate that.
So is that a yes or a no on the 7RM? It stands to reason that if one cartridge will work with a similar size bullet at a similar velocity then another similar cartridge will work the same. It's one of the simplest and most basic methods of comparing a cartridges abilities.
This really isn't a complex question.
Being a little childish now. No?
This place needs more Scotch, but not too much. And if it’s your thing, weed. I won’t judge.
Covid-Crazy...
Hitting me too. Self medicating with old iron wrenching and cheap Islay.
