Connect them dots Hntr......22-250 AI/75 Amax......9 twist factory Kimber barrel known to already bughole Amaxs.....now imagine stainless being removed from the chamber end of a barrel......

More work then its worth, boltface? feeding? Chambering...

Drunk on the 24hr Koolaid again...Some guys don't know when to sober up...:p

Guys I don't think I'd use a Savage/Savage Axis for fencepost let alone to send in for ackleyfication ;)

Savages are best left for hill folk in Bruce Mines.

Ty, did you call SIS and get your money out of them yet?

Making a gun feed....sooooooo much work :D

Speaking of drunk...I finished days today, go nights tomorrow night. So I happen to have a bottle of Woodford Reserve beside me and I'm doing my best to drink it as I'm loading .223 ammo and surfing 24HR and CGN. Us Millwrongs is multi-taskers ya know.

3200 fps with a .22-250 with 36.2 gr of 4350 75gr A-max through an 8 twist 22" barrel. Imagine AI would would be a tick faster without the hassle of frequent trimming. I really should have AIed the friggen thing...

You're going to stick a reamer into a .223 Montucky to get a 22-250AI.

Get a remington already.....

Unfortunately you have a ###### where your ##### should be, so shaving SS from an OEM kimber chamber makes you skeeered .

I need a 700 S/A and a mickey for same, can you help me out Ogre?

Case trimming is the main reason I want to go AI as well. I want to keep my reloading time to a minimum as I dont have oodles of time to start with. Trimming hundreds of cases at a time, along with resizing and loading them really takes away from my shooting/hunting time.

If you're looking for speed, why not go .22/243 middlestead...

Mine is pretty accurate with little load work up. That is 8" twist and the Amax out of my standard .22-250. Under 1 1/2" groups at 200 off of the bipods laying on the ground. I don't think it is over stabilized but I'm really not up on all the ins and outs of handloading...
