Really Bad Milsurp Movie - Windtalkers

It's been a few years since I've seen this one but from what I can remember it was pretty darn good.

Yes I started a post on that one I believe... wait.. now I'm not sure. I have it though. It came with a documentary called "The Killing Fields"

There you go!

Edit: I just saw FMJ on the History Channel again...awesome movie..Mickey Mouse!

Classic.

Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: How tall are you private?
Cowboy: Sir, five foot nine, sir!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Five foot nine? I didn't know they stacked #### that high! You tryin' to squeeze an inch in on me somewhere, huh?
Cowboy: Sir, no sir!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Bull####. It looks to me like the best part of you ran down the crack of your momma's ass and ended up as a brown stain on the mattress! I think you been cheated! Where in the hell are you from anyway, private?
Cowboy: Sir, Texas, sir!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Holy dog ####! Texas? Only steers and queers come from Texas, Private Cowboy. And you don't look much like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down. Do you suck dicks?
Cowboy: Sir, no sir!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Are you a peter puffer?
Cowboy: Sir, no sir!
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: I'll bet you're the kinda guy that would #### a person in the ass and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around. I'll be watching you.

Indeed. And since one good quote deserves another:

Crazy Earl: These are great days we're living, bros. We are jolly green giants, walking the Earth with guns. These people we wasted here today are the finest human beings we will ever know. After we rotate back to the world, we're gonna miss not having anyone around that's worth shooting.

Private Joker: I wanted to see exotic Vietnam... the crown jewel of Southeast Asia. I wanted to meet interesting and stimulating people of an ancient culture... and kill them. I wanted to be the first kid on my block to get a confirmed kill!

Door Gunner: Git some! Git some! Git some, yeah, yeah, yeah! Anyone that runs, is a VC. Anyone that stands still, is a well-disciplined VC! You guys oughta do a story about me sometime! ...
Private Joker: Any women or children?
Door Gunner: Sometimes!
Private Joker: How can you shoot women or children?
Door Gunner: Easy! Ya just don't lead 'em so much! Ain't war hell?

Also, for more R. Lee Emery, see The Siege of Firebase Gloria.

A Bridge Too Far is one of my all time FAVS..

FMJ is the movie that will never die...

Breaker Morant is one movie I love to watch just to confuse my wife...

PS... Edward Woodward ROCKS!

I counted how many Japanese Nick Cage kills alone in Windtalkers...

I believe it was 100. Or 99.

And I love the stuff they have the Navaho actually call in. You really need code talkers to call in naval fire on a big f*ck off concrete blockhouse with 16" guns in it eh...if the Japanese spoke English, they could just pick it up and carry it away before the shells land...

Tae Guk ki is beyond amazing for getting a feel of war, while still giving you brutal action that you crave for.

I said it in the other thread, not many movies can satisfy both your craving for action yet leave you feeling the true horrors of war.

Lots can do one, few can trully do both this well.
