I think you need to look at the other end off the gun ,and have the stock shimmed .Dutch

Read the above in bold. I have shimmed it every way it can possibly be adjusted up, down, left, right, center. Maybe if I do a head stand and shoot it'll be straight.

Why not give Remington a call, if it is an actual problem with the barrel it would be a warranty issue no?

It'll be fine till the end of duck season I kill ducks with it but don't like havin too make alot of adjustments on lead when shootin know what I mean? I wanna be able too put the center of the pattern where my bead is not 8" inches behind or in front of the bird, alot of guess work in a hurry when they fly by. Sorry bout that what I was gettin at is I don't have a spare gun too use while that one is in on warranty. From now till spring I depend on my guns and traps for winters meat, I'm not a sport or trophy hunter I'm in it for the eats. Hell if I see road kill deer I'm all over it! Wow it's late and I waaaaaay too far into this. Night guys.

trapoholic, I'm just as confused as dutchhunter about what you are shimming.
You are shimming the stock end yes, because that tiny little bit of information is missing from your first post in this current thread.
Now for something completely differant have you posted a WTB in the EE or have you called Western Gun Parts in the Edmonton area seeing if they have such a beast if in fact it is the barrel that is tweaked ?
When you call the CSR at Western G PArts, have your make , model and serial number handy for the fine lady on the other end, because she is going to ask for all three of those things and dont forget to tell her how long you want the barrel to be ;)
Best Regards,
Rob

does the barrel ring fit tight over the mag tube or is there some play in the ring .and does the forend wood touch the barrel .Dutch

Yes its too bad warranty takes so long up here. Nothing I can find in Canada for sale, I would still recommend contacting remington if possible, might be able to ship you one. Brownells carries them in the states but it would be cheaper to just buy a backup until warranty work is done, the are listed at about $575 US.

If you did not buy it gray market , call remington canada aka gravle agancy. All of the sales guys and 2 of the gunsmiths are members of CGN.
They have a good turnaroud time for plug and play issues. Unless its marlin or para

It is the the stock I've been shimming just too clear that up, I'm gonna call them tomorrow and see what's what thanks man.

The barrel ring fits pretty good'n snug over the mag tube so that's not the problem, the forearm might touch the barrel literally a hair but that's it for the most part it might as well be free floated minus the barrel ring.

I been tryin to get ahold of the gravel agency but I might as well spit at a wall I'd get ahead quicker.
