Reamer and Chambering ?'s

Few questions about reamers and chambering,
first for a new build would you use a finishing reamer and a rough reamer?
And secondly to cut back and rechamber a existing barrel would you use a resize reamer?
Any clarification appreciated

A finishing reamer would work fine in both examples. A finisher might last longer without resharpening if a rougher is used first.

For cutting all chambers a finish reamer is required, many methods of removing steel prior, but the final cut will always be with a "finish reamer"..........hence the term "finish reamer".
A resize reamer is used to build dies and may also be used as a roughing reamer.......It is designed to remove enough metal in the right places to be able to size a case correctly when one cuts a die blank with it and polishes it.

tiriaq tells it straight as usual. Unless you are planning on chambering several barrels using a finisher for the whole job is fine. For the gunsmith that is going to do several chambers a rougher/finishing set would be a good idea.

Finishing reamer is all you need for the chamber. Depending on throat length/bullet to shoot a throating reamer can be good to have a well.
