Reaming chokes on chrome lined barrels

Is it possible to ream the chokes on chrome lined shotgun barrels? Failing that, how about installing choke tubes in an skb double?

Yes it is. It's done with a carbide edged reamer. To use a regular reamer will ruin the reamer and could cause the chrome in the barrels to peel. It's somewhat more expensive, due to the high cost of the carbide reamer.

It's also more expensive due to the slightly greater risk of screwing something up - even with the carbide reamer. For this reason some 'smiths won't thread chrome bores. There are some good gunsmiths around who do this regularly - best thing to do is get on the phone and talk to some of them.
