Rear Sling Swivel Issue

I suppose it isn't a sling 'swivel' per se...but whatever. Boys...I have a loose rear sling attachment on my M1A. It won't come out but it moves and I have a tiny chip out on the wood were it attaches to the stock. Will this eventually come loose? Should I epoxy it or is there a better fix?

Epoxy it and build it up a bit to use the epoxy as a buffer

is the lower screw/bolt on the butt plate loose? Thats what holds the sling swivel on.

If you can pull it out without removing the screw you'll
A) need a new stock
B) never have to worry about some guy kicking sand in your face
C)not improve things with epoxy
