Rear XS Ghost Ring Question

Have the 870 Express Tactical.

The rear Ghost Ring site doesn't stay seated.

So the Ring itself swivels and when tightened it doesn't stay in position, and when fully screwed to the end it is not directed forward. Happens more so when doing prolonged shooting.

And when I tighten the side screw, it slides too far to the left and is thus not centered.

Am I mucking something up here?

Im about to take the rear sight off altogether and get something else once my frustration ends.

Does the ghost ring mount on a rail, a Weaver base, or its own base? The XS sight on my wife's rifle is the high Weaver model; the ring itself sits in a dovetail and uses opposing screws to adjust windage, you loosen one side off and tighten the other to get the required adjustment. Be sure both windage screws are tight.

It sits on the stock rail in a dove tail....I guess thats what it is.

Ill look at it again.

There should be a screw on each side to tighten against the ghost ring aperture.

The other side of the sight, there was a micro thin piece of what I say is a laminate tape?

It was covering the other screw.

So problem solved.
