And I'm actually getting some work done as well. :D

Why couldn't you do that with a Blackberry?

Well in theory you could but... the iphone is better imo. Bigger screen, better web browsing experience, better wifi and GPS integration, much better camera on the Iphone 4, 1000X better for music and movies and the apps are much better than the BB offerings..

Plus if you get bored you can rock out with Nazi Zombies until a deer shows up.... and if a deer doesn't show up... at least you got to shoot zombies.

I did the same thing with my iphone when I hunt. I posted the pics on facebook to bug the piss outta my friends stuck at work while I was in the field.

I had a pic of last year's mule deer on there 2 minutes after he was on the ground. My antelope this year was the same thing.

you take your cell phone hunting?

hope it matches your purse and panties.

/facepalm

Let's see......bring the cell and work from a tree stand, or worry some moron is going to make fun of you on the interweb and go in to the office instead.....hmmm, tough call.

What do I know though? I'm the guy out HUNTING right now.... What do your surroundings look like smart guy? ;)

Not to mention:

It's a camera, video camera, GPS with Topo AND sattelite imaging, a source of silent communication with my buddy (with unlimited range), a ballistics calculator, a reliable source of up to the minute weather and wind conditions/weather sat and a compass.... A better question is why you WOULDN'T bring one. :)

first off you're sitting on your ass in a tree...

second, I'm surrounded by palm trees, green mountains, drinking amazing coffee (can see the plantation from where I sit), and it's 85F out. later today I will fly hard body brit journalist chick around the mountains. it's rough ;)

Because that's what I strive to get away from.

In the bush, no one should have to hear a cell phone "beep".

Nice looking spot. Almost as beautiful as Northern Saskatchewan. ;)

I sell phones for a living and have used every phone out there, and believe me that is not the case!

I disagree with you wholeheartedly.

selling != living with. Don't like something on your iphone? you are stuck with it, don't like something on your android? change it to something you like.

replace your phone book, replace your dialing application, replace your messaging application, etc.

Iphone = add apps, but at it's core, it doesn't/can't change so you better like it
android = add apps, and if you don't like something, change it.

For that reason alone, android > iphone

Oh yeah, and the fact that I can buy a spare battery and replace it if mine starts to crap out > paying out my rectum if I have an iphone

No beeps, not a sound. The iPhone has a switch which makes the phone dead silent.....I don't bring the phone for the "phone" part whatsoever....and if someone does try to call me it goes straight to voicemail...I'll check it when I'm out of the bush :)

A tree that takes a 5k hike to get to. Not a bowhunter apparently......

As far as the other stuff? To me that translates into "I'm working" :)

I'd much rather spend a fall day in the boreal thanks :)

Iphone has very few problems, and glitches! I rarely see issues with Iphones that need repair or software reinstallation.

Android has been plagued with glitches, and having to force close apps. I have had every make and model of android phone that I sell have these issues as they are mostly software problems. It is simply not as smooth, and reliable.

Now I agree that the android is very customizable and I like that, but for the average user the Iphone is the better device. If you are hardcore into apps, and customizing your device you might be drawn to android but I find the more you mess with it the more you will see glitches and such.

Ive used; both Iphones, Motorola Quench, Experia X10, Nexxus One, HTC dream, and every blackberry out there.

Honestly Android would be my last choice behind Iphone, and Blackberry!

I'll agree that the average user gets better use out of an iphone, however you have to remember that the people that are having issues likely have an iq around room temperature. If you can operate a computer proficiently, than android will likely give you no issues.
I was in the market for a new phone this summer on contract with rogers, and the offerings for android based phones were dismal... all a generation or two older from what the states has. I tried my girlfriends iphone for a few days, and couldn't stand the touch screen, so I upgraded from an 8330 to a new bold. Not many nice apps, has a few quirks, but it's usable.

Im not talking about user issues, Im talking about software glitches. Apps force closing, freezing, resetting, random error messages, etc!
