Reason why m305 is a good hunting rig

Best reason is because the know nothing BlackFace government claims that it wasn't designed for hunting!

Stupidly heavy for a .308; uncomfortable to carry; impossible to load/charge quietly; difficult and expensive to scope; rattles like a set of maracas; shakes scopes to pieces in short order; horrible ergos when scoped; indifferent accuracy compared to most typical bolt guns...

I know it's tough to tell from my post so far, but I absolutely loved playing with and shooting the several Norc m14-type rifles I owned over the years. As range toys and plinkers, they had few equals...but I also used one of them on a single deer hunt and IMHO it was the worst hunting rifle I have ever shot a deer with.

A motorcycle is a fun toy for goofing around on; when you try to use it to haul lumber it's a laughable failure. M14 hunting rifles are like that. :)

Yup, heavy as heck, but sure is fun to be able to hunt with it last deer rifle season of 2019.

All great times

Okay, I can’t seem to rotate this properly on an ipad

Not suitable for hunting, eh? Stay safe and keep supporting your crew who have your back.

Cheers, Barney

Meanwhile, a Stag 10 is like a turbocharged Volvo wagon. Fast, fun, AND practical!

Yep, they're very much alike; I have no interest in either one! :)

Just not my cup of tea for most hunting, but definitely worlds ahead of the M14 for that purpose. For hunting that calls for fast multiple follow-up shots...for me, that's spelled C-O-Y-O-T-E-S...an accurate lightweight AR-type would be just about ideal.

Barney, your pictures just prove my point; hunting with an M14 is upside-down thinking...:)

When the sheer weight of your rifle causes you to fall out of your tree stand and the tether stops your fall.

The 308 semis, like all semis, are fantastic for running shot.
I’ve had the most fun ever hunting coyotes with 25-06 BAR and small game with a Ruger 10/22!

Nice to see your smiling face, even if it's upside down. (Could be a metaphor for our gun laws). Two thumbs up for the M305! Robust, reliable and accurate. Too heavy?!? Nope.

Also of note....in case it isnt painfully obvious to anyone at this point....it is entriely irrelevant ...shes all about the control part :)
