Reasonable Price for EE for AR Build

I was thinking about selling one ar15 but with the current market if you don't need the money, don't sell it. You'll loose 30-40% of your initial money.

yeah got some really low ballin offers. One of the prospective client claimed that new IUR can be had for $630.:bangHead:f:P:

Market is bad. i don't really need the cash. I guess I can keep it.

Just keep the iur upper, I wish I had kept mine but sold it last year. As for pricing, didn't they blow out those uppers for around $700 for a "blemished" one last year? I can see why you are getting offers of around $600 for a used one.

I paid $620 shipped for my IUR. Someone bought it and changed their mind. Never even shot it. The "blemished" ones (with no blemish to be found) flooded the market. Everyone who wanted one got one and there are a bunch floating around. Not everyone's cup of tea as you experienced. Best to keep it if you don't need the money. Or I'll take a second one if you want to move it quick :)

its an IUR How can you strip that? Why would you?

Do you mean sell the upper whole and strip the lower?

I just meant that since it isn't all Colt, might as well part it out... the upper and barrel should stay intact as you said, but the bcg and charge handle aren't Colt. I would try to sell the lower complete before stripping it of the LPK, but I just don't see him getting his money back without parting the gun out.

They are not "going for", that's what the retailer is asking, and I think they are nuts. Fanboys will probably buy them up, I'm a little more realistic.

Well, may be asking, looks like he has a line on them and gauging the interest. As for shot out, if it's from an LEO, don't be so sure, obviously need to look at one to be sure, but I've owned 5-6 ex-LE revolvers, and they all looked like #### on the outside and pretty good on the inside. For a collector it's gold...assuming his statement that they haven't been available is correct.
