Reasonable quality plinker rifle

Hi folks
I tried using the search function but couldn't find anything, a friend is looking for a good quality plinker, he doesn't know much about them but I believe he wants a break barrel with decent accuracy that will last. Any suggestions? Even what to stay away from would help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, his limit would be around $300. And not sure on the caliber, plinking cans and a bit of pest control, so probably .22.

He is in the process of upgrading an old FAC, he is also looking for a shotgun for bird hunting!

Anything from Weihrauch or Diana would be a decent option.
- If he's planing on using it in his backyard. Double-check local bylaws and keep it under 500fps
