Reasonable Scope for Remington 700

Hey guys,

So im wanting to get into the long-gun/long-range deal, and have been researching the Remington 700 SPS Stainless in .308. Im wanting to shoot anywhere from 100-800 yds with it (long range isnt a huge priority right now..but something for a little down the road)..so i was wondering what is a good quality scope/rings/mounts for this rifle...within a $3-400 price range...any ideas?

The best value in rings and bases are the TPS. You can get them from ### International, a sponsor on the board. You are looking at a little over $200 for this alone. Well worth the money. A good scope for that range can be had for about $400.

save ur money and buy a leupold or night force. cause if u get into long range u will end up buying one anyway and no matter what you buy in my opinion you should get one that goes to 24 power or greater it is kinda ### when you shoot 1000m and your looking at a 100m span around ur target.
but that is just my opinion

If you have a couple grand to spend on glass, do it. If not, there are a lot of options that will get the job done effectively and reliably without breaking the bank.

picked up a Meuller 8.5-25x44AO Tactical from whitefalls...its in the mail now, and cant wait to fit it to my new Savage 12FVSS .308 in a couple weeks! thanks guys
