If your heart is set on an 1187 forget the supermag and stick with a 3" gun.

I bought a SA-08 weatherby and love it. I have just used target loads on it and once I put enough oil on it I have had zero issues. $725 for the upland.

I just picked up a new 3" Winchester SX2 for $900. I actually chose it over the Browning Silver, because I preferred the higher rib. I also wanted a soft shooter for shooting trap, so the heavier SX2 seemed like a good choice.

Baikal 153 should do the trick.

but

You dont need 3.5" for anything you mentioned. 3.5" guns commonly have trouble cycling 2 3/4 loads, especially target loads.
