Rebarrel VZ-58 to 858 so non-restricted. Possible?

OK. My question for you experts out there: If I have a VZ-58, is it possible to rebarrel it with a CZ-858 barrel, effectively making it an 858, and then have it re-verified as a non-restricted gun?

If this question has already been addressed in the VZ-58 Monster Thread, apologies - I'm just not able to find it in a search.

Just sell the 58 and buy an 858, much cheaper.

Do you mean you have a 58S carbine? restricted, and you want to rebarrel it with the longer 858 barrel? like canam said, just sell it and buy a 58L/858

sell it the barrels are pressed in VERY tightly

it is possible with alot of work and what happens if you screw it up??

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't planning to do it immediately - the question was more in the nature of settling a beer bet. I am planning to buy an 858 after my income tax refund comes back, though. Better quality than an SKS and still runs on cheap surplus ammo.
