rebarreling a tikka t3 with a remington factory barrel?

Did some googling and with my limited knowledge it looks possible, both share the same 1x16 tpi but the Remington threaded shank OD is larger than the tikka so it looks possible to rethread the shank to the smaller OD of the tikka action.

I have a factory Remington countour .257wby mag barrel kicking around.

I've had one done in 223. Smith cut the threads off and redid the threads and chamber. Funny thing is that rem take off barrel is one of the most accurate consistent barrels I've ever seen.
