rebarreling of savage 110 L, 243 to 308?

Ive got an older 243 savage 110L. Im wondering if i can rebarrelil it to 308.

If so, where could i get a barrel and is it even worth it?

I like the old rifle, but im more comfortable deer hunting with a 308.

if it was me, I'd buy a cheap .308. I doubt its worth rebarreling, but I could be wrong.

Ya, for savages thanks to the lock nut design you can buy pre chamber and threaded barrels. No need for a gunsmith, you can do it at home. Just need to make sure the head space is correct.

There a decent price and any aftermarket shop can get you one. North shore barrels is one place for example.

As far as quality you can even get a shilen select match grade. Heavy or sport contour. Up to you.

Cheaper than a new rifle Forsure.
