hey guys, quick question.

would it be possible to rebarrel a Marlin 336C from the 30/30 it comes in to a .357Mag/.38 Special? I don't really like the design of the Marlin 1894C that is in the .357Mag/.38 Special.

That would be a MAJOR job.
In addition to a new barrel, the bolt and entire feeding mechanism would have to be altered.

1894 c is a straight grip. the 336 is a pistol grip. wouldent work putting the stock from one to another. the lever is likely different aswell.

the bolts on the 2 guns are differant as well. the 336 has the round bolt. the 94c has a square bolt weather the internals are the same is another question.

i dont think many gunsmiths would take on the modification without it costing an arm and a leg to do. as one wrong move could destroy the reciever of your gun.
