The gun was never prohibited it was restricted as sold and registered as such. How would it magically become prohibited? And trade-ex is selling 9mm barrels for the K-31 12.4" OAL

Nope. If it can be attached to a receiver they class it as a prohibited device.

Sometimes what the CFC and Crown Counsel says in regards to firearms laws and regulations and what is in fact law is not the same in my experience.
It's shocking when it happens to you personaly, and until it does, it's hard to imagine.
