Reblue my old colt 1911?

My colt 1911 has almost no finish left
Id like to make her new again so Im wondering if theres a good company in Canada that has a good reputation?

Depends where you are but I've not heard anything bad about arma-coat he can nitrate as well. Don't think he does creakote I got my creakoted rifle from Alberta tactical and it's flawless love it the finish is awesome.

Of it has no valie other than being a shooter, you can parkerize it fairly easily. I parke'd mine using a home brew solution, on my BBQ.

Absolutely leave it alone. The lack of finish won't hurt it, you just need to make sure you clean it and apply a VERY light coat of oil to the exterior after use.

I'd leave it alone even if it was more modern. The worn look gives them character but that's just me of course.
