I got this from a family friends estate and was a surprised when I found it at the bottom of a box... in pieces mind you. But the oldest gun I have ever held.

I reassembled most of it by trial an error. It's missing a few parts, but it still cycles. AThe stock bolt is busted and the barrel has seen better days. The tang on the trigger group has been repaired at some point.

Would this be a fruitless venture? Waste of time? POS?

I am not too much into relics but it would be educational to getting up and running, or is there anyone else who would appreciate this gun a but more then me?

If you want to fool around have at er. But I wouldn't sink any money into it. Fairly nice examples don't bring real high dollars. Average examples are $200.00-$300.00 with poor examples worth nothing.

I have built a couple, and as Gunsaholic has mentioned, it fairly easy to spend over the value that you could fetch on the market. I doubt I could get half of what I put into them, but realistically I enjoyed the process. They are simple in design. Your call, but I'm sure there would be people interested in the parts if you decide to pass on the project
