Reccomend a good gun grease?

For the trigger sear,
I use a graphite based, dry film spary lube.
I like this because it won't collect 'junk'.
For the bolt, I have found a synthetic moly
grease, NLGI 2 grade to stand up the longest.
However, only use a thin, lite, 'finger smear' of the
stuff on the bolt. It lasts about 5 cleanings for me
before I wipe it down and apply new.
Dirt hasn't been much of a problem, as I don't
shoot in a desert sand storm all that often. .

Is what works for me.

I've had success with Militec Grease, Lubriplate, Plastilube, Cambodian Tire Wheel Bearing Grease, Lithium grease. They all work well for my competition games on a one way range. Very likely to do well on the 2 way ranges in hot and sandy locales....

Cheers,
Barney

I use Loctite's "SuperLube", a very sticky silicon grease that is ideal for moving and reciprocating parts like slides and hammers.
A big tube will set you back about $12.00 and you'll have enough for about two lives...
PP.

OK, I might get harped at here but I used white Grease the other day..............

Actually, I think it's this stuff...

All the whitee greases are basiclly a lithium base.
The moly greases work well alsoo.
Kenny Jarret of Beannfield fame and a well knnow BR shooter ( as well as others) uses ATF on his bolts.
I use a moly grease but wipe off any excess so it doesn't buuild up.....

Yeah. That is exactery the stuff I'm talk'n about.
I didn't bother to mention the name tho, as
Loctite doesn't make it any more.
You may still be able to find a tube or two around,
and if so, grab it. It's a thing of the past here in cowtown.

Butch's looks just like atf with a little scent thrown in.

The benifit to the white grease being the no stain factor. No biggie for most of us but it can piss off the wife/GF who insists on wearing "good clothes" to the range when some graphite stuff goes flying.
