My att is in french. But it does not say I need the reg cert with me.

It basically says that I can transport firearm that has a reg cert listed in my att. And it lists all firearm registered to me.

It does not say I need to have the reg cert with me.

I wouldn't be violating my att conditions.

I was thinking transfer notice was a temporary registration certificate.

They list your certs on your ATT? Never seen that before, but it does save the hassle of trying to carry a cert to match the guns being used on a given day. I wonder what an ATT looks like for the guy that owns several hundreds of guns?

No it refers to the section : certificate of registration number to be transported.

This section says : all firearm registered to me.

The special conditions one the English att are much more easier to understand.

When you read it in french it does not clearly says " must be in possession of the reg certificate"

I'll try to post a picture when I get a chance.

Anyway I won't be going to the range even if chances are slim that I get caught. That will make my brand new pistol a safe queen for almost a month. I'll take some NR out on crown land instead.

Hello cgn

I just received my first pistol a cz 75 b omega. Brand new from international shooting supplies. I took good advantage of their sale and paid a little under 600$ delivered to my door :).

Anyway I received my att and transfer notice but no registration certificate.

Wondering if I can go shooting without the registration certificate if I bring the transfer notice. The registration certificate number is written on it.

The wording on my att make me believe am good to go.

So am I good to go?

Thanks for the answers.

I almost forgot the obligatory gun ####

Unwritten cgn rule: if you brag about a new gun, you need to post pic!

I called the Ontario CFO with the exact same question, the answer was Yes. Shoot away and enjoy!

Bah so confusing!
Every province,CFO, hell every agent saying something different.
CFC told me today the transfer notification is good to get your restricted home after transfer, but not to go shooting.
Take with grain of salt.
