Please lend a hand with my memory; I'm trying to figure out what were the most common milsurp firearms imported into Canada over the past 20 years.

For example, Mosin rifles & carbines, the SKS, and "even" the SVT-40 were fairly recently imported into Canada in larger numbers, and now we have a number of Carcano carbines as well. Can anyone help me think back to 2000 to recall other voluminous imports to Canada?

Thanks sincerely!

Russian Capture Mausers and some Chinese Mausers, along with lots of South American Mausers and the last of the No4 Lee Enfields from Turkey and Greece

Finnish M39s, Swiss firearms of all varieties, Steyr M95s, M1 Garands, Yugoslavian firearms, Chinese firearms, all sorts of Russian/combloc refurbs of rifles (VZ24s, K98ks, etc.), Carcanos, I think thats the biggest ones.

Back in the 80's when Century Arms was in business, you could get an amazing number of Milsurp rifles and handguns at excellent prices form all over the world.

Really the good old days.

True, man those where the days.

Seems K31's were the hot-ticket about 3-4 years ago. I still kick myself for missing that "cheap" gun and ammo train. Now the rifles, while still reasonable in price, go hungry looking for ammo
