Recent purchase Sks Type 56 oddities

Hi scholars, I have a few oddities on a type 56 i recently purchased. One is the star which looks possibly North Korean to me and the factory code which I have not seen before. Any incite would be appreciated.

I don't see anything on the sidewall that doesn't look Chinese to me. But see if the link helps.

Looks to me like it's just a regular Chinese SKS, maybe a Sino-Soviet. I can't find any example of the circled star stamp, but there are star stamps on some, just no circle. If you could post some more pictures of it and the serial numbers on the various parts, it would be easier to narrow down.

I had posted these sks's in SKS-Files forum(USA) and was informed that it was from factory 946 in China. Circle star on stock was a oddity for Chinese rifles but was from factory.

Definitely factory 946 Chinese....I bought 2 unissued unfired all matching one serail number apart at cabelas
They were very nice rifles

More pics to come Tuesday, what originally made me look into it was the circle star which looked Korean, from my research no knowledge on it has been dug up so far.

This type of star stamp is commonly seen on the 946 guns. Not sure if it is associated with any of the other Chinese arsenals, but it may be.
