I keep hearing about the clank from all the guys that don't have them any more, so opened up the safe to check,
There is a clank when you release it, but cocking it , no more than the safty going off on a lot of guns.
Funny, I went downstairs and checked mine too. Definite "clack" when the squeeze cocker is let off.....not much when you squeeze it in.
Hence I said " click and clack". Granted, the cocking sound is a LOT quieter!
As much as it sounds like I'm knocking this gun, I'm not! I wish I didn't sell mine. I loved the gun for the craftsmanship. In the end, knowing its faults and virtues, i knew the M8 would be more of a safe queen than a daily shooter. It was going to be worth more in clean shape than worn and scratched up, so I traded for something else I would use.
And Tobin, I was at Lever Arms in the early days too. I still remember my first P220 European model costing $430.
The place looked like something out of a genie's treasure cave!
