Recent Smith and Wesson Warranty Experience? - Canada

^ your comment about special tools is spot on. I would have just done the work myself. I watched some videos and saw that what was needed was quite simple! Too bad for me I was watching a video concerning the older SW guns, the ones you could actually work on with simple, common hand tools. Turns out you need a special wrench to remove the firing pin bushing instead of replacing a piece on the hammer... #### me I guess.

Well, it is with a heavy heart that I must inform the info recd from the Distributor was in error. Grech remain the S&W warranty in spite of what S&W thinks. I truly believe that the Cdn Rep for S&W needs to hear why this is not only bad for the customers but for the name of S&W as well. Its too bad Jeff Croze retired as he was an excellent person to deal with but his replacements at S&W are also good folks. They just simply are not aware(or claim to be) of the every day goings on since Murray decided to take a well deserved rest. I apologize for the earlier posts but I just had to share what I believed to be good news at the time. Heavy sigh :(

No worries, you didn't just perpetuate a rumor, you thought it was fact. Terrible news though. Any chance this Canadian rep has some contact info? I'd love to share my story with him... I was dealing with someone from the US who I guess dealt with Canadian warranty issues.

There's no REAL Canadian rep, as it was when Jeff worked for S & W, they are Reps from the US, who come up to do a run and meet accounts, the Rep's name is James Holley he covers Canada.

stopped by work this morning and had one of the girls bring my package out to me. a week from when I emailed T/C in the U.S. I have my replacement trigger in my hand and will change it out myself this afternoon. Sad that we have to wait months, to years even, to have replacement parts available to us here in Canada. I guess if I ever get a replacement here through gretch, I'll have a spare in case it ever happens again........... I never sent the Omega in and was planning to swap it out myself anyway because I know then that I'm at someone else's mercy and it would take that much longer to get it back.......

and, that was a fu#&ing #####. LOL............. BUT, new trigger installed within a week or two getting in touch with them and doing everything myself.
lifetime warranty is really useless when the warranty center can't get parts here in Canada........

Can anyone suggest a source for SW parts in Canada? I just need a cross bolt pin for my SW41, Brownells has them in stock, but doesn't ship them to Canada- would love to get it back up and running,

Bringing this thread back for a second. It's too late for me, Grech already has my gun, but Wolverine's website now says they are the official Canadian Warranty Centre for Smith & Wesson.

I'm waiting for an action screw for my TCR22 I bought in november... (Thompson center is under S&W now).

They just can't get the part, I'm close to a full year with a brand new non working rifle and TC/S&W and Gretch aren't helping.

It's sad cause John at Gretch was really helpful with another of my rifle but regarding Smith warranty it's really just not working...
